RSS app that syncs with the feeds I have on Firefox

Hi all,

I'm new to RSS, but I'm trying to sync the RSS feeds I have on firefox with some sort of reader on the iPhone; does anyone know of a reader that will do that?

Not with firefox. You'll need to use Google Reader or something like that. Either use the mobile web version of it on the iPhone or purchase an app that lets you view Google Reader on your phone. (like Byline, Reeder, Newsie, NetNewsWire, etc)

NetNewsWire and Google Reader works well. The iPhone app is having trouble right now with marking read articles, but I expect that to be fixed with the next release. NetNewsWire comes in free (ad supported) and pay (no ads) versions. It also integrates nicely with Instapaper for the iPhone to keep you reading when you are off-line.

No. It's pretty much not possible to do push notifications with an RSS reader like this without Google doing part of the work.

Not sure everyone's obsession with having everything pushed to their phone. Sometimes it really is just better to open the app up and check things. Especially with how cumbersome the iPhone's notifications are, cumbersome is being polite. Crap, ****, garbage, trash, etc would be better ways to describe how stupid Apple has been in regards to fixing the modal design of their notification windows. It's one of the big things that I think Apple dropped the ball on. The Palm Pre, and Android both have fantastic notification systems that don't get in the way.

I get a text message while reading something, Close/View, no way to just finish what I'm reading without tapping something. Pathetic.

No. It's pretty much not possible to do push notifications with an RSS reader like this without Google doing part of the work. .

Boxcar's latest update allows push notifications for RSS feeds.
