I hope I can explain this correctly.

I am using the program found at this website ( http://www.myspacefeed.com/ ) to put an RSS feed of my LiveJournal blog onto my MySpace page (don't ask). Anyway, the script that the creator made is set to update the feed only once every 24 hours. He, however, has made the source code available so I would imagine that those with a clue could set the script to update at whatever length of time imaginable, which is what I would like to do.

However, I am far from having any sort of clue about this sort of stuff. In fact, I am the last person who should be tinkering with the source code of anything. So I am looking to you for help. Whether it be steering me in the right direction to find a person or walk me through the process of fixing it, I would be ever so greatful.

Thanks in advance.

Besides setting up the script on your server, you wouldn't need to mess with the source code.
The way this script works is that there's a file that updates the images, and a cron job runs on his server every 24 hours, executing the (you guessed it) cronjobs.php script at regular intervals. So if you put the script on your own server, all you have to do is schedule the cron jobs as often as you like, and you'll be set.
