google.com/reader

- iphone best app is byline

of course other people have "opinions" but gazette isn't close to byline.

gazette is another rss reader that syncs with google

nothing syncs with apple, since it's not on a server, it's on your mail app or bookmarks or whatever you're using.

Second also...

I'm using this:

Web/Windows: Google Reader
OS X: EventBox
iPhone: Byline

I bought all the various iphone apps that can sync with google reader and I also find byline to be several orders of magnitude better than the rest. But feel free to make your own judgement, they're only a few bucks each :)

EventBox is a great piece of software, it doesn't just do RSS syncing with google reader. It will pull down facebook statuses and pics, flickr pics (yours and contacts, etc.) digg stuff, and it will do its own RSS aggregation if you don't like google reader. On top of that it integrates with the OS so you can set it as your default RSS reader in safari and have rss feed links open up in it and subscribed to directly into google reader without having to go to the web site to add them.

For twitter they have URL shortening with a few services supported, and I believe twitpic support but I'd have to double check that.

Oh it also supports reddit but I have no idea what that is so whatever ;)

Another nice features is smart folders which are equivalent to your smart folders in mail.

It's good stuff. It is in beta but they have been good about keeping fixes and updates coming regularly. I paid for this software as well, and continue to recommend it.

Now I want to say that I used to use NetNewsWire all around, Mac, iPhone and the equivalent feed app on windows. But the synchronization was never reliable compared to this google reader/byline/eventbox setup.
