rtcw et macbook problem

i installed the game which i loved before switching to mac..and now i have my ideal laptop..for dj-ing..and general use..i wanna play some simple fps online games..

after downloading rtcw et ..i got it to start and joined the online games server..and it comes back with servers to play on..but when it downloads some of the maps..i.e the basic ones..it bounces out of the game..and then i get a report of an unexpected close out of the game..and then asked if i wanna relaunch the app or ignore...does anyone have any sollutions to this as i really wanna shoot some...
