I remember a while back I clicked on a link (was pretty sure it was here but now can't find it) that led me to a pretty kewl looking RTS Space sim.

Def not Eve Online.
I looked at Vendetta (only one I could think of) and that wasn't it.
Same with Escape Velocity: Nova.

I really hope the game I was looking at wasn't Windows based.

I googled and nothing I clicked on there looked familiar so now I pose the question.

RTS Space sims, does anyone know of any? The site I remember visiting (was a while ago so browser history is kaputz) looked pretty much like Homeworld which I loved playing.

Any help is much appreciated. Thanks.

i'm assuming we're not talking about starcraft :)
How far back are you referring to?

I suggest taking a look at ign.com If you're SURE it was a strategy, game, check out http://pc.ign.com/index/games.html?...nre_2=Strategy:&constraint.return_all=is_true

That's a list of all strategy games IGN has listed for PC. If it's a popular game, CHANCES are that there's a PC version as well. Sort by date and look through it I guess.

I'm also gonna throw out Master of Orion III as a possibility....

edit: I looked at the list I linked to on IGN, and unfortunately, the dates do NOT appear to be accurate. Master of Orion II is listed as 2005, though if you click on its link it gives the correct release date of 1996.

i would say homeworld 2 is the best space rts game out there, and it works on mac... I can run it on my macbook air on max settings :p and it looks quite good!

Yah, that's what I'm gonna go back to play. I've played it before and loved it as an alternative to FPS's and MMO's.

I've been feeling nostalgic lately :D

If you want a RTS space game that will keep you busy forever, get Sins of a Solar Empire, its sweet.

i've got a windows version of homeworld 2 here, anyone able to play it in XP using bootcamp? i've heard that there were problems playing it in the MBP.

btw, i'm getting my MBP (Merom) 2 weeks from now so i can't try it out for myself yet.
