I have been looking for a hard case to protect the new investment (17" MBP).

Read on the forums a mixed review of the Speck product. Apple store employee told me as well that he did not recommend it. (He had a bad experience.)

Then I found this "rubberized" case by TechShell. http://www.techshell.biz/blru17mapro.html

Anyone have any experiences with it? Worth to invest the $80?

Those look okay. I've never heard of them, though. I like the carbon fibre version (see below) but I'm wondering if it will block the vents in the back when the screen is up?

they look very cool - wish i'd seen them before i place my order for a neocase a couple of days ago

I don't think they block the vents anymore than without the case. Also, unlike the speck cases, these don't restrict the already restricted display tilt. I'm thinking of getting one too.

What's the link for this carbon fiber looking case?

Also, what cases are other people using, and links!

Peace!
