Yes, this is MacRumors, but who is Shlade4 and why would you believe anything he says?
Not saying it's not impossible, but I'd believe it more if it were coming from a known leaker. :)

If this is even legit, I don’t think I’d buy this, but I hope it means some exciting improvements to iPadOS are coming! If it’s also being planned for 2022 it’s probably more of an idea right now than something they’ve got a prototype of.

With Tim cook, everything is possible. He loves to fill in the price/size gaps so I wouldn't bet against it. He loves having all the SKUs.

Would love it, but not enough to buy it.

My 12.9 inch iPad Pro already never leaves the note stand because it's unwieldy as an e-reader and too limited, software wise, to use on the go. So a bigger screen device would only help.

15" to 16"... perfect, I'd buy right away IF... they can marry macOS and iPadOS. Behaves like iOS whenever it's undocked and like macOS whenever it's docked to a Magic Keyboard. That means, multiple external screens, external discs and so on are supported. Basically a full MacBook Pro replacement. I do most of the heavy lifting on desktop systems or servers anyways, because no laptop is powerful enough. So for mobile use with a A15, A16 or whatever they have available then... why not. Would certainly be more powerful and lighter/more compact than my fully loaded MBP16 (and probably dead silent).

I find the 12.9" to be on the large end for a tablet. I doubt I would be interested in a 14-15", especially with what would have to be an expensive price tag.
I don’t doubt, I KNOW I am not interested in a tablet of that size.

my only concern is that if such developments actually see the light of day, I just hope Apple does not kill its 11” iPads, which, to me, are the ideal size...as a tablet.

Some type of merging of iOS and MacOS is inevitable, given that Macs are already planned to come with ARM processors in the near future
