Hey everyone !!! how's it going the updates to the ipods were awesome. But I also heard that apple will be hosting another special event but this time for Macs only. Does anyone have an idea when this will event will be? most likely this event will see the Mac Mini Update or a New Product.

Keep in mind that the new iMac is only a year old, so the likelihood of a new would be very surprising. Any updates will most likely be quiet updates.
In addition, Apple wouldn't hold a special event just for a single new product, especially this late in the year. Any new Mac would come out in January at the Macworld Expo.
In any case, you can expect a quiet update to the iMac within the next month or two.

From what recent rumors show, an event should take place by the end of October.
The Macbook and Macbook Pro are both supposed to be getting a case redesign.
The Macbook Air is due for a minor spec upgrade.
The iMac apparently is getting a very minor spec upgrade as well.
The Mac Mini (long rumored to be getting a case redesign) & the Cinema Displays (also getting a new design) will likely no come till Macworld '09. There have been no rumors suggesting they will get an update this year.
Either way, all this hardware is not enough for an Apple Event. Maybe iLife/iWork is coming with them, but there hasn't been any rumors of that at all. I don't expect them till Macworld either, alongside the Mac Mini and new Cinema Displays.
