Running 2 external monitors on MacBook Pro?

Hi, I was wondering if it is possible to run 2 external monitors on a MacBook (Pro) just like a normal PC or PowerMac?

Not that I know of. Running to external monitors would require two video outputs and the MBP only has one (as do most laptops).

Therefore, no the MBP cannot run two external monitors. A Mac G5 desktop (or any PC) can only run 2 monitors if there are 2 video out ports (VGA/DVI ports).

what's does "dual-link" do?

what's does "dual-link" do?

It's basically just a double-strength DVI connection. Regular DVI can only handle up to 1920x1200 so you need the extra grunt to go up to 2560x1600 for the 30" displays.

With this hardware you will be able to connect two monitors to a MBP (note they will not work as two independent monitors but as one HUUUUUGE one)
