Hi there
I have a 2019 Macbook Pro 16"

It says this for graphics:
AMD Radeon Pro 5500M 8 GB
Intel UHD Graphics 630 1536 MB

I have two HP E243 displays connected to it, each one using a display port to thunderbolt lead connected to each side of the macbook.

However just to give myself some free ports and so that i only have to unplug one lead from the laptop rather than two i am considering a thunderport dock. From what i understand this macbook is thunderport 3 so no point getting a thunderport 4 dock?

I see a lot of new options in the over £200 mark but then also see options from Lenovo or Dell more reasonably priced on ebay
would something like this work with the macbook?

A Thunderbolt 3 Mac can use a Thunderbolt 4 dock if the Mac is running Big Sur or later.

Any Thunderbolt 3 or Thunderbolt 4 dock should work. macOS doesn't support MST for multiple displays so you can't connect more than two displays to a dock unless the dock uses DisplayLink.
