macOS Running applescript remotely

Hello,

I wonder if it is possible to run an applescript, that is on a regular home computer sitting behind a cable modem and a typical router, from some random remote computer?

I guess so, with some messy fiddling about.

For example, you could set up a web service on the home computer that executes the AppleScript.

Many moons ago, I used to use an app called ACGI Dispatcher to do just what you described. A quick Google just now didn't throw anything up but you *might* find a copy somewhere and it *might* work on modern Macs!

...whether any of the above is a good idea or not is a separate topic! ;-)
