I'm not sure what's going on...didn't have this problem with 42" Westinghouse LVM-42W2 1080P! I'm having trouble running my new iMac off my new Sharp AQUOS LC-37D90U 1080p LCD HDTV.

I ran my MacBook which didn't have the ATi X1600 like in my new 17" iMac and my MacBook ran @ 1080p (1920x1080) without any issues on the Westy...with the AQUOS I'm having this OVERCAN problem. I can't use with with it ON but if I turn it OFF, I can ONLY run it own Lower Resolution which is pointless for me to do ALL this!

When I sold my MacBook I only upgraded to the 17" because it didn't make sense to go with 20", 24" since I'm planning running it off. I even went with the ATi X1600 thinking it would help..guess not. :(

Why didn't I have this problem with the Westy!

Thanks for the Help!

btw, I'm using/used Mini DVI-to-DVI.
