Here's a thing I'm wondering about. Say I have an Apple Silicon Mac, and I'm using an iPad as an external display via sidecar. I run an iPadOS app on the Mac, and then make the window full screen on the ipad. How will this experience differ from running the app on the ipad natively? My thoughts:
  • Probably some display lag. I expect this will be particularly noticeable on Pro ipads with faster displays, where you have become accustomed to very low input latency.
  • Software keyboard won't show up.
  • If data is stored locally, it will live on the mac.
As your ipad gets older, could you get a better ipad experience with a new mac, running apps this way?

I'm actually pretty curious to see how the App Store looks like in a M1 macbook and the iOS apps available... No video / review yet about this?

This guy tested App store on his live stream and even played Among Us (you can use keyboard for typing, but not for moving in game).
