I have a few old PC games (I never throw anything away) and am running XP on a Intel Mac under bootcamp. The games play OK but the graphics are very pixelated. I have tried different compatibility modes and different screen resolutions, but when the game, Oddword for example, runs it always looks the same.

The games are playable but would be more so if I could improve the look of them.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

How old is old? I'd have thought if old really is old you'll be limited by the resolution the game is capable of running in. If the games stretch to fill the screen and the res is low you'll see pixelation.

Not sure of the exact age but, but would guess 7 years maybe. It does go full screen when running, so maybe I have to live with it like that.

7 years!? Yeah, I'd say so. There's little chance they will run at the resolution of your screen, plus the fact they're just 7 year old graphics over all. Yup, you're stuck with it I'd imagine.

Thanks, might be time to have a clear out of my junk.

Is there any way to get it to run half size. ie not in full screen.

Well you also have to account for higher resolution screens and lower resolution games of the past. I like to play the original Command and Conquer every once in a while, and you can barely see anything on the screen because the resolution is prbly like 640x480...
