I don't want to have to upgrade, so i deleted a bunch of photos from my camera roll and backed up again, but it is still using 3.8 GB. Is every picture I've ever taken on the cloud now, is there no way to trim it down?

I think (from memory):
  • iCloud will store the last 30 days of pictures in the cloud
  • IOS Devices will store the latest 1000 images
  • Macs/PCs store all images indefinitely

I'm thinking every pic that was ever saved to iCloud is taken into account for some reason. Previously I was near 5GB with my backups and recently I was prompted that I don't have enough storage so I went thru and deleted hundreds of pics and videos freeing up tons of space but my camera roll iCloud size only dropped by .1GB. Thoughts?
