Pretty basic question.

On my Old windows pc, I had my Xbox 360's audio though the sound card and out my Speakers.

Did the same thing to the imac, and its getting the sound from the xbox but not coming through the speakers. is there something i need to switch on?

Any help would be Sweet!

thanks in advance

How do you know it's getting sound from the xbox if the sound isn't coming through the speakers?

Check the Sound settings in System Preferences. Make sure Output and Input are set correctly. I use the Audio line-in port and pump sound through the built-in speakers all the time. It should work.

I know cause in the audio settings, it showed i was getting a signal. but no sound coming out.

A guy on the apple forums told me to download the program Linein that just sends sound through the imac, really simple program
