Tell me how you go.

I ran Vista via bootcamp on a 2.53 MBP and it was awful on the battery and heat, it had to remove it, i think its a driver issue, and would not recommend running vista on the new MBP. They really should have updated the drivers.

Indeed you can. Should run fine for general use and light gaming. You need the external Superdrive though, or any external DVD burner.

I would only use it for VPN and MS Office applications. Work requires Vista specific sw to run. I have to run in VMWare can not use Bookcamp.

Have you had success running Vista on MBA? on my first gen MBP with 2Gig RAM it works but extremele slow.

Thanks

Actually, after messing with the settings and giving it reasonable memory, only one core it is runnnig ok. Not fast but decent.
So given that this is the 1.83 Yonah shouldn;t the new MBA Rev B with a care 2 Duo and faster bus speed be at lest as fast, maybe even a little faster?

Thanks

A new Macbook Air is far faster than a first generation Macbook Pro (January 06).

Early 2006 MBP came with either one of 1.83, 2.0 and 2.16 GHz processors. The OP did not specify which one until after my previous post.
