Hi, can anyone advise on the ease/difficulty of installing Windows to run alongside macOS?

The current specifications of my Mid2011 Imac are a 1TB SSD, 12GB RAM, 2.7GHz i5 processor, and an AMD Radeon HD 6770M with 512MB memory. Additionally, there are three installed WiFi dongles for improved WiFi connectivity.

1. If achievable can you advise the simple steps.

2. Are there any cons to doing this?

3. What is the cheapest way to get Windows, Excel, Word, etc. in the UK market?

4. Any better suggestions?

thanks all

Shuuuuush... where from.......

Places online that cannot be discussed on here but which many of us (including myself) have visited when in need. ;)

It's ironic that we have to be clandestine and yet the founder of the company responsible for those products, on record, tacitly supported people obtaining them through the most cheapest way possible.

Can you not download Windows 10 anymore from a Windows Insider account? Or any computer already running Win 10 via the media creation tool?

Just a few points:

1. Get the Radeon driver from ATi and not the Boot Camp one. Do this before installing Win 10 and this is your first install after Win 10.

2. Don’t use Windows Update to update the graphics driver. It’ll make it unusable.

3. Anything else can be installed from the Boot Camp drivers.
