Anyone else out there running WoW in windowed mode? When I do it seems that the game runs fine, but the dock responds slowly and moving windows around (browser windows etc.) seems a bit choppy. It just seems like it makes everything choppy, except the game itself. It seems weird because I checked Activity Monitor, and I have a lot of free ram and I'm not using alot of processor either. This is on my new Alu. Macbook, with 4gb RAM upgrade.

looking at your specs, niehter of the 2 could handle that sort of graphics capability. WoW can run perfectly fine on a regular macbook however, running it in windowed mode caused the computer to work harder to proccess your dock and other apps when running such a med-end game like WoW, which is why its so laggy, now if you had a macbook pro then thats a different story

When things are animated, like the dock, movies and transitions, it uses the graphics cards processing power. Since most of it is being used by WoW it will lag, especially on lower powered systems like the MB with the 9400M.

To make it obvious, try and watch a movie in quicktime in windowed mode.

I'm thinking those with the discreet cards will have a far better time, because on my older MBP I can watch movies fine while WoW runs in the background.
