Just installed an SSD drive for my late 2012 Mini. It's running fast and perfectly without issue. For the heck of it, I did an Apple Hardware Test and it showed a generic HDD drive error. However, the Mac's system report for the SSD shows S.M.A.R.T. status as verified. Disk Utlity first aid also shows verified and ok.

I've read that the AHT has a bug that can give a false HDD error when running it against a 3rd party SSD. I'm therefore wondering which to believe, but tending toward the S.M.A.R.T. report.

Any one else run into this?

Yeah, I know this is an obscure question. But if anyone runs the Apple Hardware Test and replaced their HD with SSD on a pre-2013 Mini (later Minis use Apple Diagnostics), watch out for that false HD error.
