I grabbed a Comodo S/MIME cert and imported it into the OS X Keychain, and used iPhone Configuration Utility to provision it to my iPhone. Signing e-mail works fine on the iPhone, but not in Mail; also, I cannot get either iOS or Mail.app to verify signed messages. Am I missing something obvious?
 
Welp, solved this one. I removed the GPGMail plugin, sent myself a signed message, opened the signed message on my iPhone, and installed the public key. Everything seems to be worked properly now, even after restoring GPGMail.
