The Galaxy Tab S 8.0 measures 198.2 x 134.5 x 5.4 mm and has an 8-inch AMOLED display with 1536 x 2048 pixel resolution and a 4:3 aspect ratio. Given that it’s just 5.4mm thin Samsung could very well brand this as the world’s thinnest tablet at launch.

The tablet has a 1.9 GHz processor with 3GB RAM, 8-megapixel rear and 2-megapixel front camera, 16GB onboard storage with microSD card support, LTE and Lollipop pre-installed.

What you mean to say is Samsung have tried to take some of apples juice and tweaked their design. ;)

It looks good. I'm glad they still have the microSD slot. Too bad they still have only 16 gb as intro. Will they offer higher capacity? If so, when?

If it would have been a Note tab, just think how much more awesome it would have been.

I love my Tab S 8" the only thing it can't hold a candle to compared to the iPad is battery life. If they could have gotten that right I would sell my ipad r mini.

Meh... they can't keep them up to date with Android versions. I got rid of my Tab4 and got a Nexus. The Tab4 was on 4.4.2. Also laggy as...

I enjoy all OS's but why settle for an outdated tablet released in 2014!!!!!!!!!

Samsung all over... Pass...

The same! the battery life on my Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 is poor(only 3/4 hours of sceen time most of the time and on a lucky day 5 hours) which is very disappointing for a tablet. :/

Soo i really hope the upcoming Tab S2 9.7 will have great battery life, +6 hours of sceen time!!!

How is the battery life on your Tab S 8 and how many hours of sceen time are you getting on a single charge Wrathwitch?

I'm quite tempted by this one. Since getting a used Note 3 and starting to use that that alongside my iP6+ every day, I've come to admit I really do prefer AMOLED to Apple's IPS displays, at least when it comes to extended reading or watching movies/clips/streams. Plus the fact that with Android I can lower the brightness much more which is a huge plus.

I still wish they'd pull out a new Note 8 though, so I can have the S Pen + its functions too, but I guess it's time to finally give up on that dream :(

Tbh I can't say as for sure hours of screen. I do know that if I leave it on standby mode I have to charge it by day 3 if I play games or read on it for a few hrs each day. We'll see how Lolli works for it.
