Which android phone camera can do better than the iPhone 5?

The Camera on the S3, One X+ and Lumia 920 are pretty much the only cameras that match or beat the iPhone 5. Most others are closely and sometimes not so closely behind.

The S3? From what I've seen it doesn't come close. Not indoors, anyway.

I wish I still had a s3 to take and post a pic but side by side, with a proper scene mode selected, the pics on ip5 and s3 are comparable IMO.

On s3 you have to use it like a real camera. That's something one may or maynit like. Personally it doesn't bother me.

This was true with ICS. But after the Jelly Bean update it pretty much takes as good of "point n shoot" pics as the iPhone.

How so? What changed?

When I compared the two myself indoors (side by side) there was no comparison. The S3 took blurry motion-blur-like shots, the iPhone shots looked better.

With stock settings?

You also have to tap to focus much more on s3 because the iPhone tends to have an aggressive focus.

I had two s3s and both took comparable pics to the iPhone 5.

Ill try digging and posting one if I have one of the ones I took at night.
