I am due getting a new phone. Earlier I had decided to get an S6 Edge Plus, but then I came to know about the launch of S7 Edge so I thought of waiting for it. As for the differences between the two, the only major differences that would "effect" me would be the Battery increase and micro-sd slot to some extent. I like the design of S6 Edge + more. The S6 Edge + is currently priced for about 650 USD in my country while the off-contract price of S7 Edge would be between 770-799USD. So what do you think that which phone should I go with? Is the battery bump of 600 mAh alone is worth spending an additional 150$ keeping in mind that I still will have to charge my phone every night (regardless if it's 3000 or 3600 mAh). I'm so confused right now. Should I wait for a couple of months to let S7 Edge's price to get dropped?

If you can wait, hold out for some proper reviews of it to come in. The camera and battery to me is worth the upgrade. I'm not a fan of the way they set up the micro sd

Doesn't just expand the storage and combine it all as internal storage like the marshmallow update had intended to do.

But it looks like a nice step up to me.

I'm personally interested in the note 5 after playing with the wife's new one

Personally I think the S7 Edge is too expensive, and this is the thing that is holding me to get this phone.

Also anyone got any idea if there are screen burn-in issues in S6-Edge+?

The S7 edge at $100-150 more is still a more worthwhile purchase over the Edge + current imho. No there are no burn in issues with the S6 Edge +

Unfortunately there are. Mine has recently decided turn into a yellow(ish) color in the first third of the display. It's very, very annoying and it doesn't go away.

You should probably get it replaced then. That is not normal. I have a Note 5 since launch day and no issues at all.

I've seen massive burn in on the S6 Edge (Not the +) at Best Buy. I think burn in will depend on how often the screen is on, the brightness, etc.

@jamezr, yeah, that's what I should be doing. But I am on my third S6 Edge replacement now and, to be perfectly honest, I've grown tired of the constant issues I've been having that I decided to keep it and not go through the hassle of sending it in and waiting weeks for it to be sent back. I'm going to likely opt for a Nexus 6P sooner rather than later anyway.

@Septembersrain, and they showcase phones with that defect? That's rather odd. But yes, I do tend to watch YouTube videos on my phone regularly and it's exactly that third of the display that is burned in.

Wow hope you get it straighten out. I have not had any of those issues with any Samsung phones and I have a lot of them.
I think the screen issues on the display models comes from them being on 24/7 365. Of course that is not normal by any means. Good luck on the repairs.

:( Oooch sounds like you got a doozy of a screen. Fingers x'd they sort it for you without hassle (and that your Samsung repair doesn't turn into the saga mine did last year). Best of luck.

I got the edge+ a few days after it came out. My only gripe is the battery... It's not bad, it gets me through the day maybe at best 75% of the time. The design is second to none (maybe only to the new edge). The thinness is incredible. It's actually not "sharp" to hold for me, but I do handle it extra carefully out of fear of dropping it. I think this will be improved with the new edge. Performance wise it's been more than satisfactory, games included. I don't miss the SD card slot that much but it obviously is nice to have. I really like the 16MP camera too, a lot of people don't care about having that much detail but I kind of do. I know the new camera is much better but it wasn't without sacrifice. I'd say the new edge at 5.5" is a slightly more ideal package and with the battery and other improvements it's worth it to get if you aren't already on the 2015 bandwagon.

I really wish the term "burn-in" will go away. It is impossible to get "burn-in" on any mobile device, because none of them are CRT or Plasma. Ghosting is possible on OLED, and it is correctable. Yellowing is not burn-in, just like "light bleed" on most of Apple's LCD IPS based products are not burn-in.

Concur with this. Same issue with my Edge+ and it is why I am moving to the S7 Edge. Battery!!!
