S7 Edge - confused about versions available

Hi all,

Sorry if this has been asked before. I'm currently on an iPhone 6 and am thinking about dipping my toe into Android and seeing how I get on until the iPhone 8 is released next year.

I'm looking on eBay at unlocked S7 Edge's and see a lot of different versions. I am currently prepaid with Verizon but I am thinking more and more about moving to T-mobile. If I buy the G935V will that work with T-Mobile if I make the move? I also see the G395T, I'm guessing that work with Verizon? Then there's the G935F and G935U and I cannot find the difference between them. Any help would be really appreciated!

The G935V will work with T-Mobile GSM once unlocked but ... I do not believe it will support their LTE bands properly and you will not get T-Mobile specific features such as voice over data. You will also still have all the verizon legacy apps installed with only the ability to disable some of them rather than uninstall. Likewise with the T-Mobile G935T variant, but vice versa - but unsure it will work on verizon at all, but it would on AT&T but have some of its bands missing.

G935F / International is the European model with the Exynos processor rather than Snapdragon. It may not have the al the LTE bands you require, if it does - it will not support carrier specific features.

G935U I believe is the samsung unlocked model for North America. It is snapdragon and has all the LTE bands for american handsets. If anything this is the model you should get for USA carrier freedom and flexibility.

Just beware if you look into the Edge version. Had the screen crack in the first few days of owning it, and after going onto the samsung forums I am not alone with it. The screen cracks very very easily on the edge ones. Thinking of selling mine and going back to the iPhone side

Great, thanks for the information, I really appreciate it. I figured that might be the case since it's also the most expensive! I will keep an eye out for a good deal but I'm 90% certain I want to give Android a try!

Oh, thanks for the info. A few of my friends have it and I certainly have screen envy coming from an iPhone 6. Any things you particularly miss about iOS? The one I'm most worried about is iMessage, but I still have my mac and iPad for facetime calls with family abroad.

Honestly one of the worst phones I have owned and I have only owned it for a like 10 days. I used to love my Note 2, and 3, but I will not purchase another one of these unless it is a Note and even then I may not.

I miss iMessage so much, and a lag free iPhone. Never had a problem before but I literally only text, use groupie, snapchat and Facebook and this phone lags so much.
