My iphone won't slide to unlock. Keeps rebooting. I am running jailbroken 3.0.1...I have sooooooo much stuff on this phone. I can't bring myself to restore it and be stuck with 3.1.....Is there a way to restore it to the 3.0 or 3.01 ipsw I have on my PC? Then rejailbreak it? Agh...It just rebooted again.

You should be able to restore using the original ISPW file.... if you haven 't updated to 3.1 then you will still be able to restore using the old software. (hold alt button when clicking on restore in itunes o select 3.01 ispw file).

But the phone keeps rebooting. Although, itunes does see the phone. I hope what you said is the case...I can restore back to 3.01, since I have not gone to 3.1

If it refuses to install the 3.01 file, you can now build a 3.1 jailbroken, that will work only for updating from 3.0x jailbroken. That should work for you.

I have not gotten it home yet to mess with it. Although I am not sure how I am going to be able to install anything on it with it continuously rebooting.

I got it to start the restore in iTunes...It fails and says "This device isn't eligible for the requested build".

If it's a 3GS, you can only go to official 3.1 or the custom restore 3.1 IPSW made with PT.

It is a 3GS and how can I do the custom ipsw if the pwnage tool option is for a Mac? I use Vista. No way to install the .dmg file.

Reach out to a friend with a Mac or get a trusted IPSW from the internet.
