sad iphone - wifi not working - reset network

hi, i got sad iphone message, which basically took iphone into safe mode. i restarted the phone to get out of safe mode, but then wifi does not work. this happened some days ago as well, and only way to fix this was to reset network settings.

so i just wanted to find out, if there is any other way to fix wifi, as i am worried about doing any reset settings.

i am on 3.1.2, 359.3 with no shsh saved.

This same thing happened to me today... I reset network settings and it put me into the apple logo loop. So, I messed around running like blackra1n and I used iReb to kick me out of the boot cycle, and finally got it to boot up. But, I had the same problem with no wifi. But, instead of resetting your settings, try just turning the phone off and back on, and that should solve it. That's what finally worked for me.
From now on I will not mess with the reset settings buttons.
