Compared to latest Chromium, Safari is much slower overall, which itself might be somewhat tolerable just to enjoy the better-integrated nature of it), but beyond that it is nearly broken on so many of my ordinary everyday sites that's it's really puzzling. No addons involved. By contrast, Chromium runs 100% of all sites 100% without issues and 1000% faster many times. Very weird.

No issues here. I'd start trying to narrow down incidental factors if I was sure it was consistently slow for me on all sites.

It's been a problem for me on the Washington Post website and the Cariama websites, on both of which it will hang and nothing will be clickable. I have to force-quit. Those websites may become usable again after I restart the machine, but invariably the issue returns within a day or so.

Washington Post website gets pretty flaky sometimes; e.g. for a while it wouldn't let me log in yesterday. I use Firefox, sometimes Safari, and see problems sometimes with both.
