So, with the "anti-tracking" privacy feature in the latest Safari for Mac and iOS, does this mean I no longer need the DuckDuckGo extension for the Mac, or need to use the DDG browser on the iPhone anymore? I thought I read somewhere that Safari is actually using DDG tech (paying them) for this feature.

If not, then what additional protections does DDG give me that Safari does not?
