Resolved Safari 14 SUS direct download links?

Can somebody check OR confirm if these are the latest Safari direct downloads from SUS? @tywebb13

They look the same as yours. The Safari Version is 14.1

For Catalina the new build is 19H1030

For Mojave the new build number is 18G9028

There are 2 ways to get this information, depending on if you want the information before or after installation.

If you want it before installing, replace the pkg file extension to the links with pkm as follows:

and

http://swcdn.apple.com/content/downloads/62/62/071-00728-A_5SWQUDK0WB/jyq47oimzangibo4lmyevte0ezlrg8w8s9/Safari14.1CatalinaAuto.pkm

Download the pkm files and open them with textedit. You will of course need new links as newer builds of safari are released.

Scroll down till you see CFBundleVersion or search the file for this. It will appear several times, but also accompanied by the build number.

In this case for Mojave it is 14611.1.21.161.5

For Catalina it is 15611.1.21.161.5

If you want the information after installation, there will be no need to download the pkm files. Just run this in Terminal and it will display the build number for the currently installed Safari:

/usr/libexec/PlistBuddy -c "Print CFBundleVersion" /Applications/Safari.app/Contents/version.plist

Alternatively, in Safari, click on About Safari and it too will display the build number.

You can of course do both if you want to see if you have the latest build, although most people will just do this by checking for updates in the software updates preference pane instead.
