This is so annoying, every now and then I hit Command + T in Safari to open a new tab, and for example I want to go to Google I simply type "G" and press Enter expecting it to go to google.com, but it sees my "G" as something I want to search for and opens a Google Search results page of the letter "G".

It does this with so many other websites. It's not all the time though, out of 10 websites I may visit it might do it to 2.

I'm having this happen on M1 MacBook Pro, iPhone 13 Pro and iPad Pro.

All started happening at the same time with the iOS 15 update.

Anyone else experiencing this? And any tips to stop this form happening?

New M1 MBA this week, just upgraded to Monterey. trying to transition from Chrome to Safari and it is annoying that opening a new tab still makes me click in the search field before I can type.
