In previous versions of Safari the tabs in a tab group would open in the background. With Safari 15 a tab only begins to load when you switch to that tab. Perhaps I'm a bit impatient, but it is annoying to switch to a tab that should have loaded in the background only to find a blank page.

Any way to fix this?

yeah I noticed this too it's very annoying. Defeats the whole purpose of loading all those bookmarks at once so you can quickly view them one after another.

I’m finding the opposite, my tabs refresh when I go to a tab group and I prefer that they didn’t. I have one tab group with my daily news with a number of tabs and they all refresh when I open it. I’d prefer they don’t as I have a limited data plan and it’s many pages that are getting refreshed if I only happen to be going to one.

It appears that this was fixed in Safari 15.2.

Edit: Or not. It was working yesterday but isn't now!
