Hi, I have a MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2015), just upgraded to Monterey 12.6, Safari 16. Noticed right away that it broke loading Google Maps on Safari. Instead of seeing a map of a city, it was just a few concentrated lines in the middle of the screen. Researched it online and found the answer. Turn on Safari "Develop" menu, Experimental Features, turn off "Web GL via metal." The person who wrote the answer stated that it had to do with the antique nature of my laptop. That solved the problem, but now I have another one (the reason for this thread). When I receive a notification on the upper right hand corner of the screen, for example, I get a lot from Accuweather with interesting articles. I used to just click on the notification and it would open in Safari (or also clicking on the "view" button in the notification tab). It used to have the link open in Safari, but now it the notification just goes away and nothing opens? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance. :D

This gives me pause about updating on my 13-inch, 2015 MBP. Monterey 12.5.1 has been working fine on my machine despite it being 7 years old. I would hope that an update will fix these problems, do they appear in other browsers? If you are able to downgrade then that might be the only fix.

Seems to be only related to Safari 16. I forgot to put the fix link for the first problem I referenced above.

I would have stayed on Monterey 12.5.1 except for that security bug that 12.6 fixed.

Thank you finally I resolved problems with my MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2015) in certain sites that have maps.
