I installed the Safari 17 Beta on my 2017 MacBook running Ventura, and I have encountered several problems. Some sites (notably Facebook) freeze up (but no spinning color circle appears), and I can no longer log in to tiaa.org (Safari 16 on my iMac still works on that site). I regret installing this beta. Will there be a final version for Ventura (my MacBook can't run Sonoma)?

I am trying to install safari 17 beta on a M2 mac studio running Ventura 13.6 but get the following error message. Any advice?

BTW, I installed safari 17 beta on my M1 MBP running 13.6 without any problem and have had no problems with it. I've noticed no issues with facebook or TIAA or any other site as of yet

How to Download Safari 17 Beta for macOS Ventura and Monterey https://www.macrumors.com/how-to/install-safari-17-macos-ventura-monterey/
or the current beta

Thanks for the link but that's not my problem. I have no difficulty downloading an installer pkg or seeing the update in software update. My problem is the error that occurs preventing installation

New beta

I saw that there was a RC for Ventura 3.6 and decided to go ahead and install it thinking it would be OK (after all it's an RC). But, my mistake! Not only can't I install Safari updates but even though I've turned off Beta updates in Software Update I continue to get macOS Sonoma beta. So, I think there are some issues with the RC and hopefully there will be a second RC (or newer build final version of 3.6) soon.

i.e. - I know how to show hidden files (also, Terminal says the they're not there)

Turning Beta On in Ventura 13.5.1 creates /Users/Shared/.BetaEnrollmentData.plist, turning Beta Off in Ventura 13.6 deletes the file. This is the expected behavior, it seems to work without being signed into Apple ID.

You can try to create an empty /Users/Shared/.BetaEnrollmentData.plist and then turn Beta On/Off from System Settings.
Code:
 touch /Users/Shared/.BetaEnrollmentData.plist
