Safari 18.1 bookmark favicons not showing/loading

Hi.

I’m not sure if anyone else on iOS 18.1 is experiencing this, but since upgrading all my devices (iPhone, iPad and Mac) from iOS 17/macOS 12, to iOS 18/macOS 15, this is what my homepage on Safari looks like:

I’ve hidden the sensitive info about my favourite sites, but what I want you to see is that, where previously I had most of the icons of each site loaded, now it only shows the few ones you can see on the second folder (where MacRumors is). All the other favicons aren’t showing up, instead I just get the grey square with the initial letter of the website. This also happens on the folder where MacRumors is: the first 9 shortcuts show the favicons, but the others remain grey.

Is anyone else experiencing this? Thank you.

I noticed this issue last night with my iPad. Restarting the iPad seems to have fixed the issue for me.

I encountered the same issue on macOS and a reboot fixed it as well!

Okay, I’ve been using and charging the iPhone without rebooting it for a while so… it’s worth a try.
