I'm developing a website at work, and it's located on a local server ATM - with the IP address of 192.168.68.2. If I type it in and hit enter, it usually goes where I want it, and I see the website.

But sometimes it doesn't do that. Sometimes it determines that I'd rather search Google for "192.168.68.2", and I get a lovely search result page instead of my website.

Is there any way to force Safari to go to a URL instead of performing a search for a URL? Anyone have any ideas?

You can type a / after anything you put in the Safari search/address bar to make Safari go to that address. For instance, typing "apple/" will directly take you to the Apple website. This will work with numerical addresses too.
