I just recently learned about the ability to add a website icon to my phone.... by loading a site, and selecting the Add to Home Screen option.
My question: for Macrumors, it uses a great icon, and when you click the icon it launches as if it's an app.... and it has no bars for safari at top and bottom.... and you can close it like a normal app. But other sites don't do this. It creates an icon, but clicking that icon opens the site within Safari. Can anyone explain how a site like Macrumors does this and others don't....?
Thanks!
