I thought I read thatbthe address bar in Safari disappears once the page loads, like on the iPhone. This isn't the case apparently, unless it's in the settings somewhere? Would be nice to free up some more screen space.

Also would like the address at the bottom, easier to access I thinkmthan at the top of the screen.

It would be extremely tedious if it disappeared... Imagine having to scroll up to the top of the screen every time you wanted to go back/forward a page.

Its not in the settings anywhere. I don't think it's a big deal. I like the bar being up there at the top, there's plenty of space on the screen to show the website.

Also, this is the best purchase of my life! I LOVE this thing!

I do that every time I type in a new address on my iPhone. And all I have to do is click the top of the screen and it quickly scrolls back to there.

I guess u could see that but I just don't like the clutter at the top, oh well.

I still would like an option to have the address bar at the bottom since the keyboard is at the bottom and when you hold the iPad, your hands are more at the bottom.

Look under VIEW menu.

You can make various bars (dis)appear with command-key combinations. No way I know of to make it automatic (how would Safari know when you wanted this?)

Yeah I would like this option too actually.

@Jpdemers, you do know this is the iPad section, right?

FYI you can tell the bookmarks bar to disappear after a tap, that frees up some real estate but the address bar will always be there.
