Safari worked flawlessly (save for random network disconnections) until I installed the Honey extension. Now, instead of just opening to my desired home page, it opens my desired home page AND joinhoney.com. I've reviewed my home page preferences and I do not see joinhoney.com identified anywhere.

This is occurring on my 2017 MacBook 12 with Sierra 10.12.6 and Safari 10.1.2.

Any ideas?

This is extremely frustrating. I've searched and the only results I can find are instructions on how to setup Safari to open with to multiple tabs. I cannot reverse these step because joinhoney.com is not listed anywhere within Safari preferences.

Most likely the extension itself is opening the additional tab to get you to join something.

What happens when you uninstall the extension? Maybe it is as the other poster states it just could be the extension.

The extension is, without a doubt, the culprit. It just doesn't make any sense for the extension to try to get me to join something I've already joined... every single time I open Safari.

Uninstalling the extension solves the problem, but I want to keep the extension. I've emailed the folks at Honey to see if they have an explanation. If it turns out this behavior is unavoidable, I'll uninstall and live without it.

This is my first Mac, so I hope I'm just overlooking something.

The next issue to solve will be the intermittent network disconnections. I can see my router from where I sit and my MacBook still drops connection 10 times a day.
