Previously it was possible to download youtube videos through the Developer interface and web inspector (or was it called Activity perhaps), anyway is that possible now? Anyone that can direct me to where to look for the raw video link in Web Inspector?

Thanks in advance.

The activity window has been gone for years. You used to be able to spot large downloads in ‘Network’ or ‘Timeline’ tabs of the Web Inspector, but I am currently not able to find it anymore.

I suggest you use the Terminal program ‘youtube-dl’ (it is a bit of a misnomer, because it supports tons of other websites too) or one of the GUI programs listed here: http://alternativeto.net/software/youtube-dl/?platform=mac. These usually give you more download options as well (e.g. format, quality).

Thank you, @KALLT, I'll check it out.
