Does any body know that in the newer versions of iOS 14 Safari now blocks Third-Party cookies by default?

If yes, then how can I know?

If Safari does indeed block third-party cookies by default, then why do I see Ads from time to time on most webpages?

Cookie blocking and ad blocking are entirely different things.

Like someone mention 3rd party cookies and seeing ads are two different situations.

On 3rd party cookies Apple has gone back and forth some on what they allow, but i thought last year they stop allowing 3rd party cookies. I then saw a day or two ago on WebKit website that with newer Safari versions 3rd party are blocked when using private browsing which made me wonder if they changed what’s being allowed again for 3rd party cookies when not using private browsing.

I haven’t had time to follow up yet, but i wish Apple would just give users control over turning off 3rd party cookies like in past. I can’t keep up with changes to Safari and intelligent tracking prevention, but if allowed I can turn on and off 3rd party cookies and check my settings if not sure. If a site is broken turning off 3rd party cookies then i can rely more on Apple tracking prevention. I also wish they would add a switch to default to private browsing (and make it more clear in dark mode all the time while using like Brave does with different look) and not reset every time you clear data and history even to clear apps use of built in Safari.
