Hi all.

Just one of those irritants, I can't get on the engadet.com site because https://guce.advertising.com
won't allow my vpn past it. Windows user consider this a sign of spyware.

But I can't find an extension or anything else.
All works fine in firefox but safari nada. Just irritating switching browsers all the time.

Any ideas?
thanks.

I think it's related to the consent to cookies window. You can use a vpn server from another country (non-European) or you can block all cookies in Safari - Preferences - Privacy to access Engadget.

Sometimes I can get on with a different county but it's really hit or miss.
Blocking cookies works but kind of a pain. I tried removing AOL or anything I thought might be AOL related cookies. No luck.

Well, works for now!
thanks

Solution: Not optimal was to turn off the VPN go to the website. Allow it to a cookie then turn VPN back on.

Same thing happened to me. I completely stopped visiting Engadget. No time for intrusive advertising that I can’t skip. It appears to work now but I visit Ars instead.

Yeah.. Techradar has almost the same stories and less intrusive (I hope!)
