as i enter various web addresses, safari likes to fill in what address it thinks i'm trying to get to.

this is fine and dandy, .....if only it would end at the .com .net or .org portion of the address.

but rather it goes to all sorts of addresses that i have visited within the web site and more often then not, when attempting to reach the top page of the web site i'm trying to get to, i end up deep in the website.

anyone know of a way that i can turn this function off?

i've looked through all of the 'obvious' ways to do this such as preferences and all of the rest of the menu areas and i have not had any success.

thanks!
