I never paid much attention to this, but recently I've noticed that Safari will automatically quit after a while if there are no open windows. I just tested this to be sure. I closed all of the windows and Safari was clearly running. I put the display to sleep and came back about an hour later and Safari was no longer running.

I have no problem with this in particular. I'm just wondering how long has this been going on? Is this a Safari feature or will macOS quit any program with no open windows?
