Safari Bookmarks -SOLVED

I can find lots of people with this issue but no solution?

Since installing my new SSD I want to import my Safari bookmarks from the other drive.

So - Boot up from the original drive ( still in the Mac) , export Bookmarks to remote external drive - reboot from new SSD, go to import bookmarks in Safari but options are greyed out and can't be selected.

Ok...so I seem to have resolved this....after 2 or 3 restarts the Import option became visible...no idea why?
