Safari can't swipe back, just blank page!

My Mt.Lion updates have recently messed everything up, should have known better than update, always the case where updates actually cause more harm than fix things.

Newest harm:

When looking up images on google, once you open up a site and you try to swipe back to the last page, it just goes blank and stays blank until I refresh the page.

This is total BS. Why do I always update this stuff, why are people paid to come up with bogus updated software for? This should be illegal right?

I picked up a 15" Early 2013 rMBP a week ago, and have noticed this several times. It's still using Mountain Lion and mostly docked with a keyboard and mouse. Now and then clicking the back button, or any other gesture/command, sometimes the previous page comes up blank. Could be any site, like Kotaku for example. Refreshing seems to help.

Safari hasn't been updated, so I don't know if that will fix the issue.

This is also my first Mac since the late 90s, so I'm not experienced with old or new glitches.

It is the OS, my OS X Lion machines are acting fine and in fact faster to load, and smoother too, runs cooler and more efficiently on battery I noticed. These newer OS's Mt.Lion especially - super twitchy and jumpy.
