In Beta 1, seems like it happens when it's downloading data, I don't have any ability to do anything in the browser. The rest of OS seems like I'm able to use.

Using Opera now. Not having any problems at all.

Same issue, mostly only with Safari though...Chrome seems fine, too bad I don't really use Chrome as much as Safari.

I've had to switch to Firefox -- Safari and Chrome are unusable for me. Early 2015 13" MBP, 8gb Ram.

So, no... "Safari (does not) seem snappier." ;)

Mail is also virtually unusable. I thought that it might be indexing, but this is overnight and after a restart.

That's my only real gripe at the minute. Safari is painfully slow and Chrome isn't much better, but I won't be touching Firefox, even with a very long stick!

No problems with Mail though, although I do try and work toward a zero inbox :D

Are you checking your Network tabs in Activity Monitor? There will be a LOT of data sent and received when syncing iCloud drive for optimise my mac at the start.
[doublepost=1465906053][/doublepost]For what it is worth, Safari is tolerable here while this is all going on, but there really ought to be better load balancing.

i clean-installed onto another partition (SSD) and it seems fine (even extensions was workign)

Chrome is unusable all together both stable & beta. Safari is a little faster but Firefox seems faster than before. Hopefully this is fixed soon. On a note though this is on my 2014 Mac Mini. On my 2012 Macbook Air, there seems to be not as many bugs & Safari seems to work normal. Both upgraded from El Capitan.

Something I've noticed. When you launch Chrome & look at Activity Monitor. It seems that Chrome Helper is using an excessive amount of RAM. On my Mac Mini the Chrome Helper loads 3 times each using over 900MB of RAM. So it's either an error on Apple's end or Google's code.

Chrome Helper is just destroying my memory usage... 8GB in use with Chrome open, 1.45GB in use with Chrome closed.

I did a clean install on a secondary partition and have had zero issues with Safari.

Chrome freezes up quickly due to the crazy memory use issues mentioned earlier though. This problem seems to affect Chrome-wrapped "web apps" like Slack and Spotify too.

Safari was running slow on my mid 2014 MBP after installing Sierra last night. Disabling the proxy settings on my Ethernet connection seems to have fixed the issue though, even though I'm using wifi for browsing. My thunderbolt to ethernet adapter wasn't even connected.

Safari is slow when clicking links to visit a new page, beachball appears and Safari stops responding. Ajax calls work fine and visiting a new page from the url bar also works fine.
Tested latest Chrome Canary and issue is also present so the problem should be on Apple's end since it was working fine before the upgrade.

Disabling Chrome extensions helps since they are responsible from some of the Google Chrome Helper processes hogging the memory.

Chrome is insanely slow, Safari is a bit better. But Safari cannot watch Youtube Video dont know why.
I am using my PC with IE on Windows 10 while waiting for upcoming macOS beta.

Same issue, Safari is slow when clicking links...can someone submit a bug report to Apple?

Opera and Chrome max out ram usage to the point of being unusable on my early 2015 MB air 13 w/4 gigs ram, safari runs fine, I upgraded from El Capitan.

I submitted a bug report for the desktop/screen saver pane in preferences, trying to select a different background and it's flashing all kinds of strange things, screen saver tab works fine, battery life is surprisingly good overall.

I installed macOS on my other computer, exact same 2016 MacBook, and Safari was working fine, so it got me thinking. Maybe I should reset all of safari.

So I did all the things done on the site below, as well as uninstalling Java and Adobe Flash. Safari works great now, so it must have been something from there.

Also made Chrome Canary usable. Takes a ton of resources to load, but ones it loads, its normal.

Deleting the plugins using the method on the website was what did the trick for me. Thanks!
