i went to university today after updating osx with the latest update. all good and well. until i get to uni. i open up safari and it just closes on me, and continues to do so everytime i open it. i click ok to proceed for certificates and try to put my username and password in to connect to the uni network but no go. sometimes it closes before i get chance to click ok for certificates sometimes i can start typing in my details and bam! closes. this is a major problem for me and really need it sorting.

any advice or help would be muchos appreciated

Cheers

Chris

I've been having a similar problem with Safari at my University. As a short term fix, until Safari is patched, try using Firefox to get the connection started. Then you should be able to quit Firefox and go back to Safari if you want. I think once you've made the initial connection to the network, Safari can take it from there.

Update this thread if you get a better work-around.:D

Also try Resetting Safari from the Safari menu. Sometimes I find that can help, assuming this isn't an inherent problem with Safari as an app.
