You don't have any control over colour management through Safari - the application would inherit directly from the OS. Go to System Preferences>Display Preferences>Color to see the profile for your monitor. This is effectively the profile that you are viewing everything through (in other words, this profile is interpreting the document profiles of everything you look at).

I have calibrated my monitor with the X-Rite Display One.
I turned on colour management in Firefox and it looks pretty good.
However, the colours are different between the same image on Firefox and Safari.

* Method 1: Install the Color Management add-on Once installed, enabling and disabling colour management is as simple as checking a checkbox and relaunching Firefox 3. The add-on, currently at v0.4, can be downloaded here (free registration required).
* Method 2: Manually edit the colour management setting This is easy even for the non-geeks in the crowd. The steps are:
1. Type about:config in Firefox 3's address bar and press Return. The configuration settings will appear.
2. In the Filter field, type gfx. The list of settings will shorten to show just those related to graphics, ie gfx.
3. If the Value for gfx.color_management.enabled is False, double-click anywhere on that line to toggle the setting to True.
4. Quit and relaunch Firefox 3 and you're in business. You can confirm that colour management is working by viewing the photos on this page. If all four quadrants of the first photo are a seamless match, then colour management in your copy of Firefox is up and running.

Safari - colour management
Eeh it's amazing what you learn on these forums! Still, it's debatable whether you would want to do that if for instance you were doing web development and testing the results, because 99.99999% of all users will NOT have colour management turned on.

Your absolutely right.
However 90% of people are not using Wide Gamut screens like the Dell 2408WFP or the HP LP2475W which are affected by crazy colours when colour management is not enabled. I enabled it in Firefox 3 and now the web is tolerable again...
As per the OP - I don't know how to enable colour management yet with Safari.
The problem with Safari's color management is that it doesn't interpret untagged images as sRGB images. Unfortunately most images on the web are untagged and if you use a modern wide gamut display you'll get over-saturated colors. See e.g. this page for examples and explanation.
