I seems that Safari is crashing my 2012 iMac with El Capitan. I even formatted and reinstalled a fresh copy of El Capitan' the latest version of everything.

I don't have Flash installed and no extensions. Bare bones Safari

I tried deleting my cookies and history.

Any ideas? Btw, it's a stock late 2012 iMac home use only.

I'm also getting this at random intervals after closing tabs. The entire computer freezes and only the cursor moves, even after force quitting safari only a restart fixes it.

Hopefully it will be fixed in 10.11.1.

I will try turning off Safari iCloud sync and try that.

I logged in under guest account and it never crashes.
The other day under my account, it crashed while using Safari with about 6 tabs open. It would keep crashing every reboot until I booted into safe mode and closed Safari, restarted fine until after several hours with a few tabs open it crashed again. Weird!
